Kat 'n Dog Grooming is founded by Kat Howe, a pet care specialist with over 7 years of experience. With experience grooming at veterinary office, Kat is well trained in animal behavior and pet handling. Specializing in high anxiety dogs. As well as older pups that need just a little more care and help than others.

Kat is passionate about continuing to grow and refine her skills as a professional groomer. Competitive dog grooming gives her the opportunity to challenge herself, receive valuable feedback from highly accomplished grooming judges, and bring new techniques and knowledge back to the dogs on her grooming table.
Kat views grooming competitions as another form of continuing education. Every critique provides opportunity to learn and improve.

Although placing is always an exciting bonus, Kat had an incredible start to her competitive grooming journey, placing in Both Competitions she has entered so far.
2nd Place - Salon Freestyle (July 2026)
3rd Place - Rescue Roundup (April 2026)
As Kat continues competing, her goal is simple; keep learning, keep challenging herself, and continue providing the highest quality grooming possible for every dog in her care
